It's Amazing

When I think about those last few miserable weeks of pregnancy, the 41 hours of labor, the three days without sleep, the painful contractions, the incompetent labor and delivery nurse, and the two weeks of painful walking I endured because of Eli, I would do it again in a heartbeat, just to see my angel baby for the first time again.

I never believed how women could have more than one child. Now I can. I don't want one for a LONG while, but I understand how someone could go through all that, and still want to do it again.

When Eli Spits Up, Mommy Goes Shirtless

When Eli has PROJECTILE spit up in the kitchen, and it gets all over Mommy's shirt, this is what happens. The shirt gets taken off, dropped on the floor by the one free hand, and left there until Eli decides he wants to fall asleep, and Mommy gets a second to pick it up. This shirt was on the kitchen floor for almost two hours this morning. What does that tell you?

And in the meantime, Mommy has been wearing shorts and a bra. Oh well. Nobody is here to see it, and Mommy would rather watch her angel sleep.

First Doctor's Appointment

Yesterday we went to the doctor. I was expecting bloody murder screaming and crying and shots and the whole shebang. Nope. Nada. He didn't get any shots, he didn't cry, didn't get fussy. He laid there like a good boy. I was at least expecting him to pee on me while they weighed him. Nope. Not even that. I was shocked. And as for how much he's grown.... (drumroll please)......

Weight: 8lbs 12 oz
Height: 21.25 in.
He is getting fatter, not taller. I just hope he isn't short his whole life. Hopefully he takes after Grandaddy or Steven's dad, not his own. :)

Here is a new picture of the little piglet. The date on the camera is wrong, but I am technologically slow, so I can't change it. This was taken MAY 2, 2010. He was 12 days old, and he had just gotten his first bath. (which he loved, by the way)
